This week we continue our sermon series, Encountering Jesus. We will encounter Jesus in the temple as he turns over the money changing tables and chases the animals out (John 2:13-25). Pastor Cara will ask us to consider what stands in our way of seeing and abiding with Jesus in our lives. Special music this week is This is My Father’s World, sung by Rick Crozier.

The Rev. Dr. Leroy Barber was our guest preacher on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Rev. Dr. Barber reflected on what Jesus’ birth, and his life, initiated. Barber asks, “After we celebrate the wonders of Christmas, what is your plan to work it out?” Where we may be tempted to see the birth of Jesus as the conclusion of a holiday season, instead, it is a call to share a gospel that can change the world actively.
