Speaking the Truth in Love

  • Puyallup United Methodist Church 1919 West Pioneer Avenue Puyallup, WA 98371 United States (map)

All of us have found ourselves faced with challenging conversations before. This is particularly true now in this era of extreme divisiveness across our culture.

Some of us have lost relationships—from family members to long-time friends—over situations that didn't go well. Sometimes we fail to show up as our best selves amid this struggle.

How do you navigate the family reunion with the relatives who've said horrible things for 20 years? How do you respond to the person who was just rude to the sales clerk and is wearing political garb you disagree with? How do you deal with the neighbor being belligerent over garbage cans? What do you say in the church when people fail to be church for one another?

How do we STAY in relationship with each other despite our differences? How do we make community more important than being right? How do we bridge the chasms between us so that we can actually say what matters to people who matter without losing everything?

On Saturday, May 31, we'll be hosting a special seminar called “Speaking the Truth in Love.” Rev. Gregg Sealey is a coach and consultant specializing in healing conflicts and handling difficult conversations.

Come learn some new skills that will potentially transform EVERY personal relationship and group you connect with. Your future...our future together...is worth the effort! This is open to the whole community, so please come...and bring a friend or two!

“Speaking the Truth in Love” will go from 9 am to noon, with doors opening at 8:30. Our address is 1919 W Pioneer; Puyallup, WA 98371.
