Lent is observed by many Christians as a season of prayer and reflection in preparation for the mourning of Christ’s crucifixion on Good Friday, ending with the celebration of his Resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and echoes the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting and praying in the wilderness.
We will be holding Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, February 18, at 12 PM and 6 PM in our fellowship hall.
All are welcome to join us for a simple meal of soup and bread, prayer, and the imposition of ashes.
