This week we begin our new sermon series: Asking For a Friend. We all have candidates we might like to nominate for eternal punishment. But who is to say the judgment we make against others won’t be wielded against us? Ultimately, the question of Hell comes down to a debate between God’s holiness and God’s grace. This Sunday, Epiphany, is when we celebrate the arrival of the Wise Men to worship the newborn king. It officially closes the Christmas season and begins the season of discovery. As we begin a new year, we seek new insight and clarity for that which guides us in our lives. Join us as we discern more about following our own North Star. Our Scripture reading will be from Matthew 2:1-12. We will also be celebrating Holy Communion, and don’t miss the special Quintet performance.

On this third Sunday of Advent, we will be celebrating with our special Christmas Cantata, "Hope!" Our choir will be telling the story of Christ's birth through several choral anthems. There will be familiar carols mixed with original music incorporating gospel, soul, and even blues styles. The narration is moving and will bless you with the message of the season. Our Scripture reading will be from Psalm 126.
Join us this week for the second Sunday of Advent. We will be celebrating with our annual All-Ages Interactive Christmas Pageant. Come help tell the Christmas story as we sing carols, play, laugh, and reflect on God’s work in the world. Be sure to get there early to get a costume!
