From Our Pastors...

Hello! We are delighted by your interest in Puyallup United Methodist Church. We hope you take the time to check out our website and a worship service recording or two. We'd love to answer any questions you might have prior to visiting in person, when you're ready. You can see our Plan A Visit page for many helpful details and FAQs. If we can provide you with any assistance, such as through prayer support, please let us know.

Puyallup UMC is a welcoming (Reconciling) church. We affirm the goodness and full inclusion of ALL people in all aspects of our congregational life. No matter your age, race, ability, gender identity, sexual orientation, political allegiances, life history, legal status, or religious background, you are TRULY welcome here. We have people from all walks of life among us. Many of our constituents, including Pastor Margaret, are members of the LGBTQIA community. Our congregation is committed to the process of learning how to be supportive and true allies. While we do not always agree with one another about matters of opinion, we hold many values in common, particularly that God loves and welcomes ALL into beloved community, including YOU.

We seek to be a place where we learn and grow in God's love together. We do this through worship, classes, age-level ministry activities, and community outreach. We are committed to offering ministries of compassionate care to neighbors in need, and also to asking tough questions that enable us to seek justice and transform systems that contribute to the diminishment of life for those who find themselves marginalized in our world.

Ultimately, Puyallup UMC is a place where both spiritual and religious people collaborate in our shared desire to follow Jesus in ways that put more love into the world. We hope to meet you soon!

Blessings,

Pastors Margaret & Doug
