Holy Week Services

Learn more about Holy Week Services at Puyallup United Methodist Church! We’ll be offering co-hosting a Good Friday Tenebrae service on Friday, April 19, and three Easter Services on Sunday morning, April 21.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service
April 19th at 7 PM

Join us for a Good Friday Tenebrae Service on Friday, April 19th at 7 PM at Puyallup United Methodist Church. The service will be co-hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Puyallup and will feature readings from the Gospel of Matthew and music from a combined choir.

Tenebrae is an ancient Christian Good Friday service that makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles to symbolize the events of that week from the triumphant Palm Sunday entry through Jesus’ death and burial.

Easter Sunday Worship
April 21st at 6, 9 and 11 AM

The community is invited to join us on Easter morning, Sunday, April 21, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and the breaking out of hope! This story of God’s enduring love, and of the ultimate triumph of life over death, is central for us as Christians and one with the power to change the world.

We hope to see you at one of three services, at 6 (sunrise service outdoors at church) , 9 and 11 AM, on Easter Sunday morning.

Worshipping with US FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Puyallup United Methodist Church is a faith community that welcomes all people, beautifully diverse as God created them. If this is your first time joining us, we want you to feel welcome and blessed by worship together. Some people dress up for Easter, others dress more casually—you choose! Our church is accessible and inclusive, but not pushy or perfect (nobody is, right?).

Children are welcome to join you in the sanctuary at each of our services; nursery care is offered for children 5 and under on Good Friday and at the 9 and 11 AM services on Easter Sunday.

Our church is located at 1919 West Pioneer Avenue in Puyallup, Washington (98371). Click here for Google Map Directions.
