We have all been moved to tears watching the terrible news coming out of Haiti. Many of you undoubtedly are wanting to help. You may write a check to the church and write "Haiti" at the bottom. We will see that it gets to UMCOR—Haiti as soon as possible.

The Outreach Committee has decided that our Lenten giving project this year will go to UMCOR—Haiti. The special emphasis will be from February 21 through the end of May.

We are blessed to have United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) as our emergency response agency. They are often the last ones to leave a disaster site because they stay there to help people put their lives back together. And when you give to a specific UMCOR project 100% of your donation goes to that project and not to overhead.

Thank you for being such a compassionate and giving congregation, especially when tragedies happen anywhere in the world. Pray for the people of Haiti and pray for those who are delivering lifegiving aid and give as you can.
